Summer Camp Report June 2008
Jun 18, 2008
Troop 98 had another successful Scout Camp this year. Moving back to Piercing Arrow, which has been a long time favorite of our troop, was a new experience for most of us. Initially, many of us had some doubts about PA with it being so spread out as compared to Sawmill from last years camp. It wasn’t long before we realized the value of PA in that all of the campsites are more spread out and offer more privacy from the other troops
Why join Troop 98?

Do you like the idea of camping, canoeing, getting outdoors and learning fun things… then Boy Scout Troop 98 is for you. Are you a former Scout from any troop that lost interest; or just never gave scouting a chance? We have a program you will be interested in.
Have a fun time:
Are you interested in getting outdoors and camping? Do you like to canoe and fish? Perhaps backpacking piqued your interest. Ever think about launching a rocket or visiting an Apollo rocket, sleeping on a Hercules Air Force plane or flying a jet simulator? These are just a few of the activities you too can enjoy with our troop.
A place to grow:
Troop 98 is scout-led. You learn fun skills, outdoor activities and leadership with your fellow scouts. Our Adult leaders guide you through your adventure. You’ll learn scouting skills and about careers from professional Architects, Mechanics, Engineers, Carpenters, Doctors, and Manufacturers who serve as Troop leaders. New parents bring new skills and opportunities for scouts. And, we have many boys who join by themselves.
All scouts are organized into patrols that provide you the opportunity to make friends and learn together. You set the pace and choose what you want to do.
